Algeria has officially announced the launch of a new international hydrocarbon bid round scheduled for April 19, as part of its ongoing strategy to enhance upstream investment and optimize resource development. In a statement, ALNAFT confirmed that the round will offer seven exploration blocks to international oil companies under a transparent and competitive framework aligned with national legislation and global industry standards.
The agency emphasized that the licensing process is designed to attract foreign investment through clear, incentive-based mechanisms, while reinforcing Algeria’s commitment to sustainable partnerships and efficient resource management. The move builds on momentum from the Algeria Bid Round 2024, which saw strong international participation and the awarding of most offered blocks to a diverse group of global energy firms.
