Ora Developers, chaired by Naguib Sawiris, has signed a strategic agreement with Modon Holding to acquire an additional 4.8 million square metres of land in the UAE, significantly expanding its development footprint in the region.

According to official company statements, the agreement increases Ora’s total land holdings in the Jantout area to approximately 9.6 million square metres, with total investments expected to reach around AED 30 billion upon full development. As The Middle East Observer notes, the move reflects strong investor confidence in the UAE’s real estate sector and reinforces Ora’s long-term expansion strategy in the Gulf market.

The project is strategically located between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with direct connectivity via Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Road and proximity to Al Maktoum International Airport, positioning it as a key integrated urban destination linking the two emirates.

The partnership will support the development of “Bayn,” Ora’s flagship mixed-use project, which aims to combine modern urban living with coastal lifestyle elements. The Middle East Observer understands that the project is designed to deliver a comprehensive residential and commercial ecosystem aligned with international standards.

Executives from both companies highlighted the strategic significance of the agreement. Ora emphasized its commitment to sustained investment in the UAE, citing the strength and resilience of the local real estate market, while Modon underscored Ora’s track record of delivering high-quality developments globally. According to data from the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre, Ora ranked among the top developers in Abu Dhabi in 2025, with its Bayn project achieving residential sales of approximately AED 2.7 billion.

The expansion comes amid continued growth in the UAE’s real estate and infrastructure sectors, supported by policies aimed at attracting foreign investment and enhancing urban development.
