Cairo — The Governor of Damietta, Hossam El-Din Fouzi, conducted an inspection visit to the industrial complex of Misr Fertilizers Production Company (MOPCO), underscoring its strategic role in supporting Egypt’s economy and advancing the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030.
During the visit, company officials outlined ongoing upgrades in operational efficiency, including expanded digital transformation systems, remote monitoring technologies, and smart maintenance frameworks. The company also highlighted its adherence to international standards in safety, environmental management, and sustainability, supported by the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (ECHEM).
MOPCO, one of Egypt’s leading producers of nitrogen fertilizers and urea, continues to play a key role in supporting the agricultural sector and boosting exports to global markets. Officials further emphasized the company’s expansion into clean energy solutions, including solar power integration, to reduce emissions and enhance energy efficiency.
