Egypt is accelerating efforts to position itself as a global outsourcing and digital-services hub following discussions between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Foundever over the company’s expansion plans in the Egyptian market.
The talks focused on expanding investments in customer-experience services, AI-supported digital operations, and multilingual outsourcing capabilities as Egypt seeks to strengthen exports of cross-border digital services. Officials said the strategy forms part of broader efforts to attract foreign technology investment while creating skilled employment opportunities outside Greater Cairo.
Foundever currently employs around 2,700 specialists across facilities in Maadi, Nasr City, and Luxor, with plans to expand its Luxor workforce from 350 employees to nearly 1,000 during the coming quarter alongside the launch of a new centre in Giza later this year.
The company also outlined growing investment in artificial intelligence, automation, and digital analytics to improve operational efficiency and customer-experience services, including the upcoming launch of its AI-powered AgentTech AI platform. Executives additionally highlighted Egypt’s growing importance within the company’s global operating network, citing the country’s multilingual workforce and competitive service capabilities.
As The Middle East Observer notes, Egypt’s outsourcing strategy is increasingly evolving beyond traditional call-centre operations toward higher-value AI-supported business services, digital operations, and multilingual technology-enabled customer management. The expansion of global firms into Upper Egypt additionally reflects broader attempts to decentralise technology investment and position outsourcing as a source of regional employment growth, digital exports, and foreign-currency generation within the wider economy.
