Cairo — Edita Food Industries S.A.E. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hadayieq, the company overseeing the redevelopment of Giza Zoo and Orman Garden, positioning Edita as the exclusive snacking partner at the destination upon its reopening.
The agreement was signed at Edita’s headquarters by Ahmed Samy, CEO Egypt at Edita, and Abd El Fattah Faizy, CEO of Hadayieq. According to statements issued by the parties, the MoU establishes a framework for a long-term collaboration aimed at enhancing visitor services and overall experience at the redeveloped site.
The redevelopment initiative integrates Giza Zoo and Orman Garden into a unified, connected destination under the name “El Genena.” The project seeks to modernize the historic landmark into a family-oriented cultural and recreational hub while preserving its architectural and environmental heritage. The transformation forms part of broader efforts to revitalize prominent public spaces and promote sustainable tourism within Greater Cairo.
Under the proposed partnership, Edita is expected to provide branded food offerings and support visitor-oriented activities tailored to families and youth segments. The company indicated that the agreement aligns with its corporate strategy of supporting national development initiatives and community-focused projects.
The MoU outlines preliminary cooperation terms and is subject to final contractual arrangements and regulatory approvals prior to full implementation.
