World Bank proceeds with the final phase for building terminal 2 at Cairo International Airport

Within the framework of visiting World Bank delegation this week in Egypt to follow up on its projects, the World Bank experts will visit the construction site on 11 November to follow up the delivery rates of the final phase of Terminal 2 at Cairo International Airport according to agreed upon schedule for the trial operation of the terminal during the first quarter of 2016.

Hossam Kamal, Minister of Civil Aviation and Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, Chairman of the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation and officials are scheduled to meet the World Bank delegation which includes Asad Alam, Regional Director of the World Bank for the region of North Africa and the Middle East and Mr. Ullevi Looper, Chairman of the Committee on Transport Bank.

The visit came in light of the visit of the World Bank experts of the Arab Republic of Egypt from 7-12 November to follow up on projects that the World Bank contributes in funding.

On the other hand, Dr.Esmat carried out a field visit to terminal 2 to follow-up testing of new systems and supplying the airport building with permanent electric current.
