The e-Gate service at Cairo Airport is considered a modern shift towards strengthening and activating the role of technology services offered to Egyptians. It facilitates the movement of entry and departure of travelers through electronic gates to simplify travel procedures and avoid congestion by not standing in long queues in front of the passport officer. Using the electronic card of this service you can complete the entry and exit process from the gate in less than 30 seconds in a quicker, smoother and much safer manner.
This service relies on sophisticated technological techniques which enable it to verify the identity of the passenger and ensure that all data in his passport are accurate through the biometric fingerprint and facial imprint.
The service has been currently activated at Cairo International Airport, according to the plan by the Ministry of Civil Aviation in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior. It is planned to be installed in the remaining Egyptian airports consecutively.
