The biggest residential camp project for King Abdullah City

King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) has announced the start of the construction and development works of its biggest residential camp for labourers. The specially designed camp will occupy an area of 104,000 square metres with a capacity for housing more than 4,000 labourers who are working at different development projects in KAEC. Namariq Arabian Services Co. Ltd., one of the most successful national companies specialised in the design and operation of workforce camps, hotels; and provision of specialised manpower, will implement the first phase, which is expected to be completed in 2016, out of two phases with a total investment of SR150 million. On this occasion, Fahd Al-Rasheed, Group CEO and managing director of KAEC, said: “The new labour camp project is a continuation of KAEC’s successful residential accomplishments, to enhance the socio-economic development in Saudi Arabia.”

He reaffirmed that KAEC is determined to keep all its promises to offer an ideal working, residential and entertainment environment that fulfills the expectations of the city’s residents.

Hussein Fayez, managing director of Namariq, expressed his appreciation of the cooperation offered by King Abdullah Economic City in facilitating this contract. He said: “We are very pleased to be awarded the prestigious contract and chosen to be part of KAEC’s development. Rest assured, we will implement the highest international standards for state-of-the-art urban architecture that KAEC follows in all its different projects.” Fayez went on to affirm the company’s commitment to deliver the high quality and environmental friendly project.

King Abdullah Economic City covers 181 million square metres of land and is being developed into a fully integrated city. The mega project consists of the Coastal Communities that offer total housing solutions for all segments of society, King Abdullah Port which is being developed as one of the biggest 10 ports in the world, the Haramain Railway district, and the Industrial Valley which extends over an area of 55 million square metres, and has signed with different national and international companies.
