Egypt’s national team added three bronze medals to its tally at the 2025 World Games, showcasing the country’s growing strength in both finswimming and karate.
In a standout performance, Tarek Hassan El-Sayed claimed bronze in the men’s 100m immersion finswimming event with a time of 34.84 seconds, finishing behind two German competitors. This marks his first medal in his debut appearance at the Games. “It’s an exceptional result and a promising start,” said Samah El-Shazly, President of the Egyptian Federation for Diving and Rescue, calling the achievement “a proud moment for Egyptian aquatic sports.”
Karate also brought Egypt to the podium, with Abdullah Mamdouh and Noursine Ali each earning bronze. Teammates Taha Al-Araq, Hadir Hendy, and Adam El-Leithy narrowly missed a medal, placing fourth in the kata event.
National head coach Abdullah Abdel Galil praised the athletes’ determination, noting that the results “reflect Egypt’s strong position in these sports.” He also expressed optimism for Nada Magdy, who will compete later today in China.
Technical staff say the team’s performance underscores the success of a long-term development plan aimed at producing a new generation of champions capable of raising Egypt’s flag on the world stage.
