SIDPEC signs new agreements at EGYPES

Sidi Kerir Petrochemical Company (SIDPEC) signed a memorandum of understanding with Hitachi Zosen Inova AG. The MoU was signed by Engineer Mohamed Ibrahim, Chairman of SIDPEC, Tofik Fredji and Fabio Daniele, Vice Presidents of Hitachi Zosen.

The memorandum of understanding aims to set the basic framework for the agreement between the two companies, as Hitachi company will provide engineering design services for the project to establish a methane gas production unit on the land available at SIDPEC company to be used in SIDPEC’s production operations using carbon dioxide (CO2) and hydrogen (H2) gases available at the company.

SIDPEC also signed a framework agreement for the partnership with Qara Energy Company. The agreement was signed by Engineer Mohamed Ibrahim, President of SIDPEC Company, and Engineer Mohamed Ayman Farid, President of Qara Energy Company.

Under the agreement, the criteria and determinants of the strategic partnership between SIDPEC and Qara Energy are determined with the aim of establishing a joint-stock company for long-term cooperation and partnership in the fields of energy efficiency and sustainability in the Egyptian market and the region to become a leading company in the field of design, construction, operation, maintenance and management of environmentally friendly energy efficiency systems specialized in industrial applications for the industry for Petrochemicals, oil and gas.
