Fawry Goes Global with Arabic-Enabled Caller ID Through Truecaller Alliance

Must read

Egyptian fintech giant Fawry has announced a strategic partnership with Truecaller, the global leader in caller identification and spam protection, to streamline customer communication and boost engagement across its financial services platforms.

Through this collaboration, Fawry has become one of the first fintechs in Egypt to adopt Truecaller’s Enterprise Caller ID and Call Reason solutions. The move enables customers to instantly recognize Fawry’s verified calls, thanks to the display of official branding elements – including its logo, verified badge, and caller name – in both Arabic and English.

This partnership marks a milestone in how fintechs interact with users,” said Ashraf Yacout, Managing Director of Fawry Consumer Finance. “It ensures seamless, transparent, and secure communication that builds lasting trust with our customer base.”

Beyond visual verification, Fawry will also deploy Truecaller’s Call Reason feature – now localized in Arabic – to inform customers in advance why the company is calling. Whether it’s a loan status update, a payment reminder, or a limited-time financial offer, this transparency significantly reduces call rejection rates and customer frustration.

A Business Profile integration further empowers Fawry to share verified information through the app, including social media links and brand visuals, enriching the digital identity of the company in a market that’s increasingly reliant on remote service delivery.

Egyptxperts say this is a crucial development in building customer trust amid rising cybersecurity concerns and fraudulent scam calls targeting mobile users in the Middle East. By incorporating Truecaller’s globally recognized verification framework, Fawry is setting a new benchmark for customer-centric communication in the region’s rapidly growing fintech sector, which is projected to exceed $3.5 billion in market value in MENA by 2026.
