Angelina Jolie’s Rafah Visit Amplifies Urgent Calls for Gaza Aid

Must read

International actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie visited the Egyptian side of the Rafah Border Crossing, drawing renewed international attention to the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza and urging faster, larger aid flows.

During the visit, Jolie met aid workers and volunteers from the Egyptian Red Crescent, as well as Palestinian patients receiving treatment in Egypt. She praised frontline humanitarian efforts and stressed the urgent need to scale up medical and relief assistance for civilians affected by months of conflict.

Egyptian officials stressed that Egypt’s side of the Rafah crossing remains open and fully prepared to facilitate humanitarian access, noting that constraints on the opposite side of the crossing remain the primary factor restricting aid flows.

The visit coincided with growing international concern, including coordinated warnings by regional foreign ministers that winter conditions are compounding suffering among Gaza’s displaced population. Humanitarian agencies continue to stress that every additional aid truck and access corridor can have a life-saving impact for civilians in Gaza.
