Eight days before the official opening of Egypt’s New Suez Canal, a new golden coin has been issued.
Designed by Engineer Yasser Saad Eddin, a number of 21,000 of the new coin were issued in the form of gold pound and souvenir medals; to be presented to the prominent guests on the opening day.
One side of the new coin depicts the Universe and giant ships, while the other side marks the coin’s value- one pound.
