Must read

Egypt and Kyrgyzstan have taken a major step toward deepening their bilateral partnership with the signing of several cooperation agreements across economic, developmental, and cultural fields. The accords were witnessed by Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov during high-level talks in Cairo.

The new agreements include a Memorandum of Understanding on Investment Cooperation, signed by Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Hassan El-Khatib and Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Zhanybek Kulubaev, aimed at boosting joint investments and enhancing the business environment between both countries.

A second MoU focused on electricity and renewable energy was signed by Minister of Planning and Economic Development Rania Al-Mashat and Minister Kulubaev, paving the way for collaboration in clean energy, infrastructure, and sustainable development.

Cooperation also extended to religious and cultural affairs, through an agreement between Minister of Awqaf Osama El-Azhary and Azamat Iusupov, Chairman of Kyrgyzstan’s National Commission for Religious Affairs, to promote moderate religious discourse and community outreach.

Additional agreements were signed in the fields of agriculture, and economic, scientific, and technical collaboration, reinforcing joint efforts in food security, research, and technology exchange.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi hailed Kyrgyzstan’s decision to establish an embassy in Cairo, describing it as a significant step that will boost communication and advance cooperation, especially in trade and investment.

The new accords mark a growing convergence between Egypt and Kyrgyzstan — linking Central Asia and the Arab world through shared interests in sustainable development, cultural dialogue, and economic partnership
