Data of the Egyptian Ministry of Finance (MoF) showed that the targeted revenues from the Suez Canal authority total EGP 66.1 billion ($3.6 billion) as per the draft general budget for fiscal year 2017/2018.
The expected Suez Canal revenues are divided into EGP 31.4 billion in surplus, in addition to EGP 30.15 billion in taxes paid by the canal to the treasury, plus another tax royalty of EGP 4.56 billion.
