The Economic Conference of Matrouh is held under the sponsorship of President Abdelfattah El-Sisi on 24 and 25 October 2015 in a hotel in Matrouh. The conference will activate about 10 referendums of understanding for projects that cost $12bn.
The conference aims at offering investment opportunities, presenting the industrial, tourist and economic capabilities of the governorate, making best use of Siwa Oasis, as well as manifestation of all capabilities and constituents of Matrouh with all its diversifications of beach, environmental, therapeutic or historic tourism; through applying strategies that show all available investment opportunities and making all procedures accessible by applying single-window system in order to implement major developmental and national projects in all fields, along with the wise political leadership’s concern about this dear spot of Egypt.
The conference also seeks presenting investment opportunities for Egyptian, Arab and foreign investors, providing more vacancies for young people in the governorate, repositioning Egypt on the global investment map through Matrouh, confirming decentralization in the government’s approach, and enabling opportunities for establishing relations between local and international partners.
In this regard, the governor of Matrouh, Alaa Abo zeid, said, “Hopefully, the conference will achieve the ambitions and aspirations of the Egyptian youth, will offer more vacancies for youth residing in Matrouh, Wadi and Delta. We will always seek perfection and the best for Matrouh in all fields through strategic and practical methods.”
He also pointed out that the measures adopted recently by the governorate for marketing and promotion of investment opportunities internally and externally have yielded an investment value of around $12bn (about LE90bn).
