Dubai Launches Influencer Academy with Paid Training and Luxury Perks

Must read

Dubai, already a magnet for social media influencers, is enhancing its allure with the introduction of the “Beautiful Destinations Academy.” This ambitious initiative, funded by Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism in collaboration with a leading travel content creation agency, aims to nurture the next wave of digital creatives while boosting the city’s vibrant tourism sector.

The academy offers a comprehensive three-month training program designed to equip aspiring influencers with the skills needed to succeed in the burgeoning field of travel content creation. Four selected participants will enjoy the unique opportunity to live luxuriously in Dubai, with all expenses covered, including flights and accommodation in high-end serviced apartments. They will also receive a livable income during the program.

Students will engage in an intensive curriculum that includes modules on photography, cinematography, editing, sound effects, AI tools, and industry regulations. This training will take place five days a week at some of the city’s most exclusive locations, typically reserved for celebrities and royals. Upon completion, participants will earn a certificate from the Dubai College of Tourism, with standout graduates potentially securing full-time positions at Beautiful Destinations.

Jeremy Jauncey, CEO and founder of Beautiful Destinations, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “I want to share what I’ve learned with the next generation and give others the chance to experience the coolest career in the world. Dubai has inspired Beautiful Destinations’ creators since our earliest days.”

Issam Kazim, chief executive of Visit Dubai, highlighted the academy’s role in reinforcing Dubai’s commitment to creativity and innovation in tourism. “The launch of this academy is a testament to our dedication to fostering excellence in the tourism sector,” Kazim remarked.

Dubai continues to solidify its reputation as a leading influencer hub, having welcomed a record 18.72 million international visitors last year. The city also recently introduced a “golden visa” for influencers, allowing them to reside in the UAE without sponsorship, alongside a substantial government support fund to aid influencers.

With over half of Gen Zers aspiring to become influencers, Dubai’s Beautiful Destinations Academy presents an unparalleled opportunity. Aspiring influencers are encouraged to apply by submitting a 60-second video on travel culture or adventure on Instagram, tagging @BeautifulDestinations @VisitDubai #BDacademy, and completing an online form by April 24 for consideration in the inaugural cohort.
