A delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) recently discussed projects to provide drinking water to the Iraqi province of Basra with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi, a report said. The meeting followed up on the water desalination project in Al-Hartha in Basra, reported Iraq Business News. Dr Al-Abadi stressed to JICA the need to complete this project on time, and to overcome obstacles including the provision of adequate allocations to finance the project, the report said.
