Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has begun preparations for the Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition (EGPS 2026), set to take place from March 30 to April 1, 2026, under the theme “Energy Transition through Cooperation, Implementation, and Realism.”

The Higher Committee overseeing the event held its first meeting chaired by Minister Karim Badawi, with the participation of Dr. Manal Awad, Acting Minister of Environment, and senior representatives from international oil and energy companies.

Badawi reaffirmed President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s support for the sector and thanked Egypt’s foreign partners for their continued investment and contribution to national oil and gas growth. He noted that the 2026 edition will feature extensive discussions spanning oil, gas, renewables, green energy, and financing, positioning EGPS as a key platform for advancing sustainable development goals.

Organizers expect over 50,000 visitors, 500 exhibitors, 2,200 delegates, and 350 international speakers to attend, alongside 15 international pavilions and 100 specialized sessions covering the future of LNG, hydrogen, energy markets in Africa, and new investment trends.

In parallel, Badawi met with the ambassadors of Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, and Greece to coordinate regional participation and strengthen cooperation in Eastern Mediterranean gas and energy infrastructure. The envoys praised Egypt’s leadership as a regional energy hub and welcomed deeper collaboration ahead of the conference.
