EgyptAir has been awarded for achieving the highest growth rates in Africa in 2016 for the second time, in accordance with the regular operation tables between Athens and African countries.
The announcement came during the annual workshop organised by Athens International Airport on Thursday. Other airlines were also honoured for their achievements, such as recording the highest growth rates in number of passengers; and the highest rates of local flights. AIrlines initiating flights to different travel markets, including Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East were also honoured.
The future visions of experts on the aviation market, the development of air travel globally and positive expectations for aviation in 2017 were discussed during the workshop.
