Sales for residential units located in Cairo’s New Administrative Capital will begin in April, said Khaled Abbas, board member at the New Administrative Capital said late Saturday.

In an interview with media presenter Amr Adeeb on Saturday, Abbas revealed that citizens will be able to relocate to the New Administrative Capital by the second half of 2018.

“We have signed a deal with the world’s largest contractor to supervise the New Administrative Capital’s buildings,” the board member added.

Previously, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stated that Egypt was targeting the completion of the first phase of the New Administrative Capital by 2018.

Egypt announced the project at its conference in Sharm El Sheikh in March 2015, noting that the project’s costs will reach $45 billion.
