Abu Qir Fertilizers and Chemical Industries Company, a prominent entity in the production and marketing of nitrogen fertilizers across Egypt and the Middle East, has announced the appointment of Engineer Hani Dahi as its new Chairman and Managing Director. This decision was unanimously made during an emergency Board of Directors meeting held on March 27, 2025.
Expressing his gratitude and vision for the future, Eng. Hani Dahi shared, “I am truly honored to lead the Board of Abu Qir Fertilizers. With the company’s rich history of achievements, I am eager to drive further growth and innovation, keeping us at the forefront of the nitrogen fertilizer industry.”
He also extended his heartfelt appreciation to the Board for their trust and took a moment to remember his late brother, Engineer Abed Ezz Al-Rijal, with a prayer for his soul.
Dahi’s appointment is seen as a strategic enhancement for Abu Qir, given his extensive leadership experience spanning over four decades. His career includes pivotal roles such as Egypt’s Minister of Transport and acting Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. He has led significant projects and companies, achieving remarkable results in sectors like petroleum and construction.
In addition to his ministerial roles, Dahi has served as CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation and has contributed to the success of various strategic companies including Petrojet, ENPPI, and EMC. His influence extends to academic circles as a board member of engineering faculties at several prestigious universities.
His international credentials include consultative roles with major entities in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, focusing on energy and large-scale project developments. Dahi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and advanced qualifications in Planning and Project Management from renowned institutions, including the University of Nottingham and the University of Illinois.
With his vast expertise and illustrious career, Hani Dahi is poised to lead Abu Qir Fertilizers into a new era of advancement and success.
