Badr El Din Petroleum Company Reaches a Milestone with 1.3bn Barrels Produced Over 40 Years

Eng. Karim Badawi, Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, recently conducted an inspection tour of the Badr 3 site, operated by Badr El Din Petroleum Company in the Western Desert. This visit is part of the minister’s initiative to oversee production sites, motivate workers, and enhance oil and natural gas output.

During the tour, Minister Badawi emphasized the importance of occupational safety, urging workers to halt operations if potential dangers arise. He highlighted the critical role of workers as the true asset of the petroleum sector, ensuring their safety is paramount.

Minister Badawi commended Badr El Din Petroleum Company and its partners, such as Kairon-Capricorn, for their significant contributions over the past 40 years to Egypt’s economy. He underscored the ministry’s strategy to increase local oil and gas production, which is vital for meeting citizens’ needs and supporting the national economy.

Eng. Ashraf Abdel Gawad, Chairman of Badr El Din, presented the company’s achievements, noting a total production of approximately 1.3 billion barrels over four decades. The company plans to increase output through advanced drilling and exploration technologies.

Minister Badawi also visited the Badr Treatment Plant Facilities, which processes oil and gas, and engaged with the drilling team at the EDC-77 rig in Badr 16. He praised the team’s dedication to safety and teamwork, urging them to maintain high production standards.

Accompanying the minister were key figures from the petroleum sector, including Eng. Salah Abdel Karim, CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, and other senior officials, underscoring the collaborative effort to bolster Egypt’s energy production.
