In a landmark event held at the Government Headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, Egypt’s Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, oversaw the signing of a significant cooperation protocol. This agreement, between the Education Development Fund and the Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ACCD), aims to bolster the institutional capabilities of the Early Childhood Development Center in Education City, 6th of October City.
The signing ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND). The protocol was signed by Dr. Rasha Sharaf, Secretary-General of the Education Development Fund, and Dr. Hassan El-Bilawi, Secretary-General of the ACCD.
Dr. Madbouly highlighted the “Alpha Generation Kindergartens” project, emphasizing its role in preparing young Egyptians for primary education. This initiative aligns with Egypt’s broader vision of fostering a sophisticated and integrated society, beginning with the development of its youngest citizens.
Dr. Rasha Sharaf expressed that this Egyptian-Arab collaboration seeks to create a paradigm shift in early childhood education by enhancing the Early Childhood Development Center’s capabilities. The project aims to set a benchmark for kindergarten professional development centers, focusing on school readiness, critical thinking, creativity, and essential life skills.
His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz underscored the importance of establishing a nurturing educational environment for Arab children. He noted that early childhood development is crucial for building resilient societies capable of navigating future challenges. The partnership aims to elevate the Early Childhood Development Center to a distinguished regional and international level, continuing its impactful legacy since its inception in 2003 by the late Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz.
The collaboration underscores a shared commitment to empowering the next generation, aligning with global educational standards and sustainable development goals. According to UNESCO, early childhood education is pivotal in laying the foundation for lifelong learning and development, making this initiative a strategic investment in Egypt’s future.
Prince Abdulaziz expressed gratitude towards Egypt’s government for fostering cooperative ties with development institutions to support the nation’s rapid humanitarian development. He affirmed AGFUND’s long-standing dedication to advancing Arab society, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts in driving educational progress.
