The chairman of the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone held on Sunday the first meeting in the final stages of negotiations with Toyota’s international alliance to establish a harbour for car trading in East Port Said port.
The French-Japanese alliance will begin carrying out the project in the upcoming months, as a beginning for international investments in the port, Ahmed Darwish added in a statement.
The chairman pointed out that a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed with Toyota a month ago, and indicated that the deal puts Egypt on the map of international vehicle ports.
