Achieving great success this season is attributed to the coordination and cooperation among ministries of trade and agriculture, cabinet and marketing bodies, which offered major facilities to suppliers. Minister of Trade Khalid Hanafi announced this year a successful season for local wheat supply, for farmers delivered 4,250,000 tons of wheat so far, which exceeds target rates with 100%. Hanafi pointed out that doors are still open for farmers to supply their wheat crops, every day from 8 am to 6 pm at working days and holidays.

Moreover, suppliers are paid their dues after wheat is delivered and sorted. The minister pointed out that monitoring rooms were set up at the cabinet’s information centre and supply directorates in the governorates to settle day to day any problems faced by the suppliers.
