Egypt-based Sinai.ai has raised $1.45 million in a pre-seed round to develop interactive, AI-native publishing tools, according to company statements and regional startup media reports.
The round was led by KAUST Innovation Ventures and DisrupTech Ventures, with participation from regional investors and angel backers. The startup is building a platform that transforms traditional books into dynamic, personalised experiences using artificial intelligence.
Funds will be directed toward product development, AI infrastructure, and content partnerships, with a focus on working with licensed material rather than open-source datasets.
The raise reflects growing investor interest in AI-driven content platforms across the Middle East, particularly in areas where technology intersects with education and digital publishing.
