Must read

Abdel Aziz Seif El-Deen, Lieutenant General of the Armed Forces and Chairman of Arab Organisation for Industrialisation, stressed on the significance of Egypt and Uganda’s cooperation. Seif El-Deen has received Erina Malony, Uganda’s Minister of Energy, in the organisation’s headquarters, where both have addressed a number of mutual projects, especially in the renewable energy sphere, and the possible future cooperation between the two countries.

Moreover, this visit paves the way towards the cooperation among Egypt and different African countries as Egypt targets enhancing internal trade in Africa. Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa, subsidiary to Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, plays a significant role in supporting the Egyptian foreign policy, especially in Africa. Furthermore, it aims at providing Africa with the required technical support, granting its students scholarships and training programmes and financing the African countries to help developing their economies.

Uganda’s Minister of Energy has expressed her happiness to have visited the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation. Also, she praised Egypt’s ability to solve its problems on its own and its military industrial capabilities. Similarly, Seif El-Deen has praised her visit, pointing out that the organisation does not seek any gains out of this visit. He added that Egypt is more concerned with increasing internal trade among the African countries.

A project of establishing solar power station under 4-5W capacity in Uganda has been addressed by Seif El-Deen and Uganda’s Minister of Energy. An Egyptian delegation of Arab Organisation for Industrialisation and the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity will visit the project’s location at the end of the month.

It is worthy to note that the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation has started to establish a number of renewable energy projects in various Nile basin countries, such as the Democratic Republic of Congo. Furthermore, two solar power stations under 2W, with the cooperation of the Egyptian government, have been agreed upon to establish in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.

Uganda’s Minister of Energy has expressed her wishes that this visit would be fruitful; furthermore, she praised the Egyptian efforts and the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation.
