The Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) declared that Egypt’s wheat self-sufficiency ratio reached 49.1% in 2015.
It added that the average per capita of wheat reached 141.1kg in 2015, up from 133.6kg in 2014, increased by 5.6%. CAPMS clarified that the average per capita of rice and vegetables reached 39.1kg, 93.1kg, respectively in 2015, decreased by 9.9% Â and 7.4%,compared to the previous year.
Meanwhile, the average per capita of fruit and meat reached 63.6kg, 13.6kg, respectively in 2015, increased by 10.6% and 25.9%, compared to the previous year.
