In its conference on 21st March, Apple unveiled a new version of iPhone.
The new small 4-inch screen version has the name “iPhone SE”, short for “iPhone Small Edition”.
It has the same Apple A9 processor and graphics performance of the larger Apple 6S and can capture 4K video.
It is coupled with the 12MP rear-facing camera and near-field communication (NFC) chip used in last September’s recent release the iPhone 6s. The chip works in conjunction with the Touch ID fingerprint scanner in the home button to make contactless payments via Apple Pay.
Speaking at the launch event at the company’s Cupertino headquarters, Apple Executive Greg Jozwiak said Apple had sold more than 30 million 4-inch iPhones during 2015.
Apple also announced a new smaller 9.7-inch iPad Pro, new woven nylon Apple Watch straps and an update to tvOS.
