Saudi Ambassador to Cairo inaugurate an EGP 20m neonatal unit

MEO- Saudi Ambassador to Cairo, Permanent Representative to the Arab League and Dean of Arab Diplomatic Corps Ahmed Qattan and Dr Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, inaugurated a neonatal nursery’s replacement renewal and provision project. The EGP 20m project comes as a gift from Saudi Emir Bandar bin Sultan’s mother to Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital at Al-Kasr Al-Ainy’s faculty of medicine.

The new neonatal nursery now has 28 units fully equipped with the most modern ventilators, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), lowering jaundice infection rate machines, heating systems. Moreover, improved nurseries were provided with ultrasound and x-ray machines, bacterial contamination central air conditioners, power grids, alert systems, fire extinguishers, and water and sewerage systems.

Egyptian-Saudi relations will always be in progress…nothing will harm these relations, not even those lone voices that try to do that can disrupt the joint relations that has been going on for decades”, Ambassador Qattan said during the inauguration.

Qattan expressed his people’s respect and love for the Egyptians, stressing that Saudi Arabia won’t spare an effort to support Egypt at all levels.

Qattan pointed out that Saudi-Egyptian relations has recently gone through some developments of which both nations are proud. He added that this close partnership will be further enhanced by the visit ok King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Egypt next April.

Finally, Qattan referred to Saudi Emir Bandar bin Sultan’s usual generosity and kindness which was clear in the replacement renewal and provision of neonatal nursery project.
