Electronic devices to Environment Ministry

Must read

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has launched a tender to provide the Ministry of Environment with computers and surveillance cameras, as well as other electronic devices.

The conditions of the contract set 1 October as the date for an inquiry session, with the last date to receive offers from competing companies on 7 October.

This comes within the Ministry of Communications’ strategy to localise technology in different fields, and implement the cooperation protocol signed between the ministries of Communications and Environment.

The conditions of the contract specified the system of points to be used to evaluate technical offers from competing companies, whereby the offering company must obtain at least 70 per cent of the total evaluation points in order for its offer to be accepted.

According to the contract, the Ministry of Communications requested 76 desktop computers, 48 USB storage devices, 77 laptops, 21 printers, and 45 GPS devices, in addition to a number of other electronic devices.

This is the third tender to be launched by the Ministry of Communications in September. Another tender was launched to implement the project of mechanising the Land Registry Office through the public-private partnership (PPP) system. The value of the tender is estimated at EGP 700m.
