Egypt’s upcoming parliamentary elections are one of the most examined, researched, and scrutinised elections in Egypt’s modern history. It was announced that one of the biggest international and local missions are to monitor the upcoming elections, as 7,000 observers will attend the elections to monitor its operations.
Undoubtedly, Egypt’s Supreme Parliamentary Elections Committee will be the main observatory to monitor the election’s proceedings. All such precautionary measures call for optimism, as they do point out that we will witness a healthy, and up to the standard round of elections.
However, at this point we do need to take all necessary executive steps, avoid any hesitation, and tardiness as these parliamentary elections are a necessary step towards proceeding on our development goals. We do need to have a strong parliamentary block that supports the efforts of President Sisi and contribute to forming a legislative council that is up to the current critical phase which Egypt is going through.
