As the inauguration of the New Suez Canal took place last Thursday August 6, the new mega project topped world newspapers. World newspaper headlines rushed to witness the historic moments of the glamorous opening, which turned heads and dazzled eyes.
Some praised and welcomed cheerily the new opening; while providing good analysis from world trade shippers and maritime specialists of how the canal could be of benefit to Egypt and to the rest of the world others squashed upon the “showing off $8 billion dollars” as they call the new expansion.
