Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has launched a new media campaign aimed at documenting and broadcasting the experiences of international visitors across the country’s main tourism destinations, as part of efforts to reinforce global confidence in Egypt as a safe and welcoming travel destination.
The initiative, implemented through the Egyptian Tourism Authority in cooperation with the Egyptian Tourism Federation and the country’s five tourism chambers, features short daily video clips capturing tourists’ impressions during their visits to various sites.
According to officials, the footage is being recorded across multiple destinations — including cultural, archaeological and coastal resorts — and shared through the digital platforms and social media channels of the Ministry, the tourism authority and industry associations.
Ahmed Youssef said the campaign aims to provide authentic, first-hand accounts from travellers that reflect the sense of safety and stability experienced by visitors despite ongoing geopolitical tensions in the region.
“The videos reaffirm the international perception of Egypt as a safe and reassuring destination,” Youssef noted, adding that the authority plans to feature tourists from a wide range of nationalities and destinations across the country.
Officials say the initiative will also serve as a tool to monitor tourism indicators and visitor feedback during a period of heightened regional uncertainty, allowing authorities to assess service quality and respond quickly to travellers’ needs.
Susan Mostafa, head of the Central Administration for Tourism Marketing at the tourism authority, said the videos provide “a vivid snapshot of tourism activity” by presenting genuine visitor impressions from different destinations.
She added that the campaign highlights the diversity of Egypt’s tourism offerings — from heritage sites and cultural attractions to Red Sea resorts — while emphasising the secure and stable environment available to international travellers.
The initiative forms part of broader promotional efforts by Egypt’s tourism authorities to maintain momentum in the sector, one of the country’s key sources of foreign currency and employment
