Egypt has launched its first marine ambulance in Alexandria. This strategic move by the Egyptian Ambulance Organization broadens their emergency response capabilities, extending coverage from land and river to the Mediterranean Sea.
The new marine ambulance, unveiled in a Cabinet statement, represents a state-of-the-art vessel equipped with advanced medical and maritime technologies. It is poised to serve not only the residents of coastal areas and ports but also the burgeoning yacht tourism industry, emphasizing the government’s commitment to safeguarding lives across diverse environments.
Dr. Khaled Megahed, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, highlighted the importance of this initiative: “The launch of the marine ambulance is a testament to our ongoing efforts to enhance the healthcare system’s readiness and reach. It ensures that emergency medical services are accessible to all, regardless of location.”
The introduction of this marine ambulance aligns with national efforts to bolster healthcare infrastructure and reflects Egypt’s vision of comprehensive emergency care.
