Hilton, a leading name in global hospitality, is set to significantly expand its presence in Egypt by tripling its number of hotels. The company plans to open 25 new properties nationwide in the coming years, underscoring its commitment to this burgeoning market. This expansion includes over ten new properties under the brand’s prestigious labels, such as the debut of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton on the African continent and Egypt’s first Curio Collection by Hilton.

Among the exciting upcoming openings is the Abu Dabbab Lodge, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, slated for 2025. This eco-friendly resort will offer 92 rooms and suites, embodying Hilton’s push towards sustainability with features like eco-conscious dining options and a dedicated diving center. Carlos Khneisser, Hilton’s VP of Development for the Middle East & Africa, emphasized, “The debut of our lifestyle brands in Egypt marks an important milestone, allowing guests to truly immerse themselves in the rich experiences the country has to offer.”

Hilton is not only focusing on new developments but also revitalizing existing properties. The Ramses Hilton, Hilton Pyramids Golf, and Hilton Cairo Heliopolis are undergoing modern refurbishments. Notably, the Hilton Marsa Alam Nubian Resort will add 66 new guest rooms and suites, enhancing its appeal as a top-tier destination.

The expansion is projected to create around 5,000 new job opportunities, bolstering Egypt’s tourism and hospitality sectors. Hilton’s recent initiative to establish a hospitality school in collaboration with local universities aims to train future professionals, ensuring a well-prepared workforce for the industry.

Looking ahead, Hilton plans to open the Hilton Cairo Historic City in 2027, located near the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Magra El Oyoun. This venture will feature 255 rooms and suites, promising a blend of modern luxury and historical grandeur. Similarly, the Curio Collection by Hilton in Sharm El Sheikh will offer 65 rooms along Egypt’s Red Sea coast, providing guests with a serene retreat featuring state-of-the-art amenities.

Dr. Ahmed Gad, a tourism economist at the American University in Cairo, noted, “Hilton’s expansion is a significant vote of confidence in Egypt’s tourism potential. This development aligns with the country’s Vision 2030 strategy, which focuses on sustainable tourism growth and infrastructure enhancements.”

According to data from Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism, the nation aims to attract 30 million tourists annually by 2028, a target that Hilton’s expansion will undoubtedly support.

Hilton’s ambitious plans in Egypt not only strengthen its regional presence but also contribute to the country’s economic and tourism growth. With a focus on sustainability, heritage, and innovation, these new developments are poised to enhance Egypt’s allure as a world-class tourist destination.
