Minister of Civil Aviation Hossam Kamal denied any financial raises for pilots in the current amendment to the financial regulation. There will be no raise for staffers inside the civil aviation sector in the meantime due to the circumstances the sector and the entire state are going through.
Workers at the civil aviation sector are patriotic as well as all the Egyptians who appreciate the current phase and are well aware of the circumstances the company is going through, he said.
The state is now focusing on promoting the government sector, improving its performance, reducing cumulative losses and completing standing projects as soon as possible, he said.
The minister urged Civil Aviation Ministry staffers not to be fooled by wicked rumours by those who want to destabilise the country and drag staffers away from their work, which is the only way to reach success and stand in the face of current challenges.
The Trade Union of Cabin Crew issued a statement asserting full understanding of the proposed financial raises for pilots, adding that they look forward to increasing the company’s profits in order to get the raises previously agreed upon with the administration.
The trade union expressed belief that the raise for pilots is an incentive for production and goes in line with the current trend of the state and, therefore, asked to review them to prove their suitability.
The trade union asserted that it has neither lodged any complaints with the presidency nor made any protests. Any reports in this regard are totally groundless, the statement said.
The trade union asserted that it is looking forward to realising profits for the company during this fiscal year.
