Mark Schwab, CEO of Star Alliance, said that he has agreed to join Avianca company in Brazil to the Star Alliance network from next July 22 as this will allow the alliance once again to offer more domestic flights in the largest and most important market in Latin America.
From his side, pilot Sameh El Hefny, chairman of the Holding Company for EgyptAir, said that “EgyptAir has participated actively in strengthening the Alliance route network especially in the Middle East and North Africa region strategy.” Hefny, added that during the meeting he reviewing the new points that have been added for the alliance network through 2015. They also discussed to expand participation agreements between member companies which give reciprocal advantages to clients’ member companies, in addition to working to expand the membership of the alliance, according to the best interest of all companies Members.
CEOs of the member companies said during their meetings they working on the objectives set by the founders of the Alliance for more than 18 years and agreed to continue to rely on our main is the presence of a strong network of lines, and to provide service at the highest levels and the exploitation of modern technology in order to produce more jobs.
Hefny pointed to ensure that the meeting shed light on the importance of dialogue with the airports bodies to achieve the developments on the ground, through the redevelopment of the passengers’ buildings and construction of new infrastructure along the lines of the successful Heathrow airport experience.
Also dealt with a number of new services provided by the coalition, including the Gold Track Security Service which is a special security corridor for inspection dedicated to first-class passengers and business class in addition to the Star Alliance carriers’ agents of the golden cards. This service is currently available in more than 25 major airports and work is underway to provide it for more pivotal alliance airports, in addition to displaying various information technology systems in the alliance application.
It is worth mentioning that EgyptAir had joined the World Star Alliance in July 2008 to become Listed as the 21st in the coalition which is one of the largest international alliances in the aviation industry around the world thanks to its powerful network that going member airlines by 18,500 a day trip to the 1321 airport in more than 193 State of the world.
