Himile Group to Invest $100m in Egypt’s Automotive Feeder Industry

Must read

China’s Himile Group plans to invest $100 million in a new 100,000 sqm tire mold manufacturing facility in Egypt, marking a first-phase foreign direct investment aimed at serving regional and global markets.

The project, reviewed in discussions with Investment Minister Mohamed Farid, will establish Egypt as a strategic export base for high-precision tire molds and industrial components targeting the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas, while also supporting domestic automotive demand.

The investment aligns with Egypt’s industrial localization strategy, particularly in automotive feeder industries, and reinforces efforts to integrate more deeply into global supply chains. Government support will focus on land allocation, procedural facilitation, and workforce training to ensure technology transfer and advanced manufacturing capability.

Talks also explored potential cooperation in wind energy and marine engineering components, indicating broader industrial integration beyond the automotive sector.
