However, lasting reform will require cultural change as much as regulation — fostering digital literacy, critical awareness, and design accountability within the tech ecosystem.

Persuasive technology thrives on invisibility. We seldom notice it operating, even as it subtly teaches us what to believe and desire. Each interaction trains algorithms to know us more intimately than we know ourselves — and in return, they condition us in kind.
