Spain’s Juan Salama secured his first professional title on the MENA Golf Tour after a commanding wire-to-wire victory at the Madinaty tournament in Egypt.
Salama finished the event on 17 under par, sealing the title with a strong closing round and a three-shot margin over his nearest challenger. His win was built on a historic opening round in which he set a course record, giving him control of the leaderboard from the outset.
The tournament drew widespread praise from players and organisers for the quality of the Madinaty Golf Club, whose layout provided a high-level technical challenge, as well as for the professional organisation of the event—further reinforcing Egypt’s growing reputation as a regional and international golf destination.
The Madinaty event marked the fourth and final leg of the Golf Egypt 2026 Series, which comprised four consecutive tournaments staged on world-class courses across Egypt, offering total prize money of $400,000. The series has been described as one of the most successful in the tour’s history in terms of playing standard and international participation.
With the conclusion of the Golf Egypt 2026 Series, attention now turns to the next phase of the MENA Tour, which is set to continue in Morocco, Jordan and the Gulf, as the circuit builds momentum and provides rising players with valuable world ranking points and competitive exposure.
