Egyptian fencer Ahmed Hesham has secured a bronze medal at the World Fencing Championship, marking a significant achievement for Egypt in this prestigious event. The championship, held in Georgia from July 22 to 30, has been a platform for showcasing the finest talents in fencing from around the globe.
Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Egyptian Fencing Federation (EFF) and celebrated Hesham’s outstanding performance, which earned Egypt its first medal in this edition of the tournament. “This achievement reflects the federation’s hard work and extensive preparations, testifying to the progress of Egyptian fencing at the international level,” Minister Sobhi stated.
Hesham’s success is not just a personal triumph but also a testament to the rising standards of Egyptian fencing on the world stage. His journey to the podium was marked by a series of challenging bouts, showcasing his technical prowess and competitive spirit.
Meanwhile, Hesham’s compatriots also delivered commendable performances. Ziad El Sisi finished in fifth place after a strong showing, while Mohamed Amer and Adham Moataz ranked 11th and 21st, respectively. These results highlight the depth of talent within the Egyptian fencing team and their potential to excel in future competitions.
