Pfizer pharmaceutical company’s sales increased during the past month of June 2024 “through pharmacies and warehouses” by 211.7%, achieving a sales value of EGP.320.6 million, and a market share of 1.9%, to occupy the 17th place among the highest-selling pharmaceutical companies in the Egyptian pharmaceutical market
The sources said in special statements to “The Drug Market” that Pfizer achieved sales in the first half of this year 2024 through pharmacies and warehouses worth EGP.1.772 billion, with a growth rate of 111.3%, while it achieved sales in the period from July 2023 to June 2024 worth EGP.3.137 billion, with a growth rate of 86.4% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The sources indicated that the pharmaceutical market achieved growth in its sales volume during the first half of this year 2024 “Through pharmacies and warehouses” by 41%, recording a sales value of EGP.88.1 billion.
The Egyptian pharmaceutical market achieved sales in July 2024 through pharmacies and warehouses worth EGP.16.1 billion, with a growth rate of 39.3%, while it achieved sales in the period from July 2023 to June 2024 worth EGP.172.2 billion, with a growth rate of 36.4% compared to the same period of the previous year
It is to be noted that, the Egyptian pharmaceutical market has about 180 pharmaceutical factories that include 799 production lines, where the percentage of local manufacturing of the local drug needs reached 90% in terms of the number of units and about 75% in terms of the value of drugs.
