IMF: Egypt’s net revenues of tourism sector could reach up to $ 4.6 billion in 2017

International Monetary Fund (IMF) has expected a recovery in the tourism sector in Egypt. IMF’s indicators refer that the net revenues will reach $ 4.6 billion within the current fiscal year 2016-2017, increasing by $ 800 million, compared to the last fiscal year in which the sector achieved $ 3.8 billion revenues.  According to the loan’s agreement documents prepared by IMF’s delegation, ministry of Finance, and the World Bank, it is expected that the revenues of Tourism sector will jump to $ 6.5 billion, increasing by $ 2 billion, within the upcoming fiscal year 2017-2018, then, jump to $ 8.5 billion in 2018-2019, $ 9.7 billion in 2019-2020, and $ 11.1 billion in 2020-2021.
