Must read

In a significant move to bolster local manufacturing, Nestlé Egypt is set to collaborate with Egypt’s Industrial Modernization Centre (IMC), as revealed in a recent Cabinet statement. This partnership aims to enhance Nestlé’s local supply chain by identifying Egyptian suppliers who can meet the company’s stringent production standards.

The announcement followed a key meeting between Egypt’s Minister of Industry and Transport, Kamel Al-Wazir, and executives from Nestlé Egypt. The discussions focused on the company’s prospective investment strategies within the country. Minister Al-Wazir reaffirmed the government’s dedication to fostering a business-friendly environment and supporting industrial growth. He emphasized the ongoing efforts to simplify industrial protocols and introduced new incentives designed to attract more investment into Egypt’s industrial sector.

Nestlé Egypt has consistently shown its commitment to the local market, having invested 5 billion Egyptian pounds over the last ten years. This substantial investment has not only created over 10,000 jobs but also contributed $22 million in exports, underlining the company’s role as a significant player in Egypt’s economic landscape.
