Dr. Olfat Ghourab, the chairman of ACDIMA Company, stated , EIPICO and Medical Union Pharmaceuticals companies , its largest subsidiaries, succeeded to export their products to the Latin American markets, as it export to Ecuador, Colombia, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica by many medicines, the most important are insulin, and Remaist “Redismisvir”. And eye drops, and we seek collaboration with Cuba to export our products through to many countries in Latin America.
Dr. Ahmed Kelani – Chairman and Managing Director of EIPICO Pharmaceutical Company – stated that EIPICO is looking forward to cooperating with Cuban pharmaceutical companies with great expertise in manufacturing Biosimilars & Biologicals, through technology transfer and co-manufacturing some of their advanced bio products in EIPICO 3 factory, the first in kind in MENA region that will fully manufacturing Biosimilars & Biologicals, as we done with one of the largest international companies in EIPICO 3 is scheduled to start production by the end of 2023.
the Minister of Health of the State of Cuba, Mr. / Jose Angel, to the factories of the EIPICO Pharmaceutical Company – the largest company of ACDIMA – accompanied by the Ambassador / Tania Aguiar Fernandez, Ambassador of Cuba to Cairo, and they were received by Dr. Olfat Ghourab, Chairman of ACDIMA Company, and Dr. Ahmed Kelani, Chairman and Managing Director of EIPICO Pharmaceuticals Industries Company. Dr. Olfat gave a brief on the capabilities of ACDIMA companies and their important role in supporting the state in providing medicine, especially insulin, hormones, and medications protocols used for the treatment of COVID-19, as well as participating in all presidential initiatives in the field of health. Dr. Kelani demonstrated a presentation on EIPICO capabilities as the largest pharmaceutical company in Egypt in terms of producing medicine with more than 300 million packages annually – and ranked No 1 in local market sales , units wise, as well as the first in export, as it exports 25 % of Egyptian drug exports, and also ranked No 1 in producing & sales of antibiotics,
Moreover, EIPICO is also ranked No 1 in sales of ophthalmic products as it’s providing the local market with 33% of its need of such products Dr. Kelani also dealt in detail with the current status of the implementation of the construction of the EIPICO 3 , Then the Cuban Minister of Health and his companions visited a number of the production departments, where he praised the advanced technological level of producing and ensuring the quality of medicines in the factory.
