The Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Yasser ElKady has received a number of officials from Panasonic—the world’s leading provider of technology solutions to factories—as part of the ongoing expansion in the field of electronics designing and manufacturing in Egypt.
During the talks, Panasonic officials underscored the company’s willingness to cooperate with local and international companies operating in Egypt in the field of electronics industry. The company is willing to transfer its expertise in providing innovative technological solutions, develop and train the staff, and provide appropriate facilities and equipment for producing smart devices.
ElKady highlighted the significance of planting technology and supporting local partners of companies involved in designing and manufacturing advanced electronics. He stated that this cooperation must include establishing a centre for research and development in the field of electronics designing in one of the technology parks. During the talks, the ICT Minister pointed out to the Egyptian competitive product, being easily exported from Egypt, benefiting from the trade agreements signed by Egypt.
