International Partnership Report  Discussed with Representatives of Egypt’s Development Partners

Dr. Nasr: “We seek the prompt implementation of development  projects in various economic fields across Egypt”.

On 10 March 2016, the Minister of International Cooperation Dr. Sahar Nasr received representatives of Egypt’s development partners, on top of which were the World Bank (WB), the African Development Bank (AfDB), the United Nations (UN), and the European Union (EU), besides representatives of USAID, the United Kingdom Embassy in Egypt, and Regional Development Banks (RDBs) that finance Egypt’s development projects, in presence of MOIC’s evaluation and monitoring team.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister highlighted MOIC’s efforts to increase the efficiency of Official Development Assistance (ODA) through the prompt implementation of development projects in various economic sectors across Egypt.

The Minister emphasized that international organisations were requested to meet  Egypt’s development needs in line with its national priorities. She also invited all participants to cooperate with MOIC in implementing their development activities in order to unify efforts in favor of the national economy, which she explained, comes first.

During the meeting, officials discussed the first outcomes of the international partnership report for cooperation, where MOIC’s team presented the report’s positive outcomes, reflecting successful bilateral cooperation between Egypt and all international development agencies. On a positive note, all participants stressed the importance of the continuous cooperation and coordination to support Egypt’s development initiatives.
