The total quantity of Egyptian fruit exports reached 1,578 tonnes, ranking first in exports, followed by vegetables with a total of 1,930 tonnes and citrus with a total of 104,322 tonnes, while Egypt’s imports of fruit reached 617,138 tonnes and vegetables around 1,754 tons, according to a report issued by the Central Administration for Agricultural Quarantine.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation has prepared detailed plans to apply good practices in agriculture for the expansion of agricultural exports abroad to increase the state’s foreign currency revenues.
Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Dr Essam Fayed, directed the department to follow up on all problems facing exports with the beginning of the export season, especially to Russia.
